8th grade Earth Science students completing the "Cookie Mining Lab" to simulate the environmental impacts of coal mining. Students are focusing on human impacts on the environment in this unit.



On Tuesday our 8th grade Earth Science students learned more about weather, climate, and climate change from News 10 Meteorologist Darrin Rockcole. The students also learned about the career paths within meteorology.


LMS hosted a very robust and active evening to showcase our students work in the Art Show & Science Fair.










Happy Pi Day! Mrs. Pierman's math classes are celebrating the day by continuing the learning through hands on activities.





The 8th grade Science classes went to the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) and Abrams Planetarium to continue their learning about nuclear science and space this week.

The middle school celebrated our quarter 2, Honor Roll students!





The middle school Student Council sponsored a collection for the Shiawassee Humane Society. Today they were able to deliver all the wonderful items!




6th graders won this weeks spirit competition, sponsored by the Student Council. They got to celebrate with popcorn and a movie!


Many of our middle school students celebrated at the "No Tardy Party"! It was a great schoolwide incentive to help students develop the habit of being punctual which results in better academic success. Students especially enjoyed cheering each other on for a half-court basketball shot to win a large pizza!

Congrats to Sophomore Noah Devereaux for his 5th place finish yesterday at the D3 Regional Meet in DeWitt. With the Top 24 finish, he has qualified for the MHSAA State Meet on November 4.
