Dear Laingsburg Families,
We received information last night regarding funeral arrangements for our elementary music teacher, Steven Easterling that will impact our ability to have school for our kindergarten through fifth grade students on Wednesday, August 27th. In order to accommodate the number of elementary staff members that would like to attend Steven's funeral, we will have to cancel school for our ECEC and Elementary students. A makeup date for this canceled date will be communicated in the coming weeks. School will continue for our middle and high school students tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding and supporting our school community during this difficult time.
If you are interested, here are the funeral arrangements:

1801 W. Washington Street, Greenville, MI 48838
Visitation
Wednesday August 27, 2025 from 9:00am to 11:00am

📣 GREAT NEWS for Wolfpack Families! 📣
The Laingsburg Board of Education has once again voted to suspend the Athletic Participation Fee for the 2025–26 school year.
At a time when some districts are increasing fees, we're proud to keep Wolfpack athletics accessible for all.
This means no per-sport or per-athlete fee—just another way we’re investing in our students and supporting our community.
📣 REMINDER: High school fall sports practices begin August 11. Be sure to visit laingsburgathletics.com for schedules, updates, and all things Wolfpack sports!

Ms. Hutchison's class participated in practicing their soft skills with Junior Achievement instructor Mr. Bruggink and his colleagues on Thursday. They spent the week preparing resumes for their interviews and practicing their handshakes. The experience gave the 5th graders the opportunity to practice their communication skills, build confidence, and learn about the importance of preparation and professionalism. #LES #wolfpack #careerexploration

We are so very thankful for Nurse Kylie here at Laingsburg Community Schools! Not only does she help with all injuries and medical situations, she's also a kind and compassionate person with a great listening ear. At the ECEC we celebrated Nurse Kylie with a musical parade! We are so luck to have you Nurse Kylie!
