The eighth-grade STEM class partnered with the city of Laingsburg to plant a tree for Arbor Day. Laingsburg has been designated a tree city and celebrates by planting trees annually.




Art meets academics at LMS! Our 8th graders just finished up our traditional Monsters, Inc. doors and scream cans. These awesome props are now heading off to their core classes for an upcoming project. Great job, 8th graders!









7th Graders took time to participate in some spring clean-up today. They enjoyed some fresh air, beautified our city, and collected more than 20 bags of trash!










Our 8th Graders in STEM participated in a "Food Truck Rally" today! They sold yummy treats, with the intention of earning the most profit. Turns out Mr. Shastal and our staff are the real winners!





There's no better way to spend Earth Day than at the recycling center! Our 6th graders had a fun day celebrating and learning with our friends at Greater Laingsburg Recyclers!




LMS 7th Graders went on a fun and educational field trip today! They spent the morning at the Sloan Museum and enjoyed an afternoon at the Flint Institute of Music. A huge thank you goes to the 7th-grade teachers for organizing such a wonderful field trip, transportation for getting our students there and back safely, our nutrition staff for packing sack lunches for students, and to PALS for helping to fund this amazing day!

Congratulations to our JV High School State Powerlifters, Kali and Addy Spade! They competed in powerlifting with Laingsburg and ended up placing 2nd and 3rd in the state!

Mr. Cousineau and the entire middle school band gave a phenomenal performance at their winter concert this evening. Many great solos were showcased in addition to the 7th & 8th grade Jazz Band.



This week in Mrs. Malaski's Earth Science, the 8th graders had a hands on learning experience through Carbon Cycle role playing. This experience was to simulate how carbon moves through Earth's spheres.



Our MS football team had the opportunity to greet and welcome our ECEC students during their morning arrival.



Mrs. Weber's art students incorporated writing into their work of "Zentangle Hand Self Portrait".



Ms. Bowen's Newspaper FLEX has begun this week. The students are brainstorming a newspaper title and slogan. Stay tuned for their first publication real soon!
