Students and staff at the ECEC are celebrating Ms. Jessica for Secretary's Day today. We appreciate all she does to go above and beyond. Each class participated and made her special drawings, posters, and cards. Mrs. Wilson's class walked to the office this morning to say thank you and read 10 reasons why. Here are a few they came up with: "for giving us band aids when we get hurt" "for clipping our nails when we have a hang nail" "for giving us paw stamps" "for saying the pledge of allegiance" "for helping us solve problems" "for calling our parents when we need them"

This week, students at our ECEC welcomed esteemed author Lisa Wheeler. Ms. Wheeler is known for her best-selling children’s books spanning a variety of topics including dinosaurs, holidays, rhyming, and animals. She spent the day delivering engaging presentations to all preschool, young fives, and kindergarten classes. Her “I Met An Author Today” program included songs, hand-plays, and readings of a few books with coordinating activities. Students were given the opportunity to preorder books that Ms. Wheeler personalized and signed the day of the event. A special thank you to LEAF for fully funding this event for our youngest readers as well Schuler Books - Okemos for working to handle the book preorder for this special event. Our students felt excited and inspired!
