Mission Statement
The role of interscholastic athletics at Laingsburg Community Schools is to provide an educational experience within the framework of competitive athletics. By focusing on educational outcomes and student learning and growth, interscholastic athletics provides avenues for physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
Philosophy
Interscholastic athletics is an important part of the educational process of the school district and an extension of the classroom, serving as an arena for growth and learning. We strive to have each student/athlete enjoy a positive experience while developing competitive teams. Within this framework, the participation of all students/athletes is encouraged, without compromising the competitive nature of our programs.
Laingsburg Middle School is a proud member of the Central Michigan Athletic Conference (CMAC), which is known throughout Michigan as one of the most competitive Class "C" and "D" athletic leagues. We take great pride in the competitiveness of our programs and the sportsmanship displayed by our coaches, student/athletes, student body, parents, and community at large. Remember that when you are attending an event that more people view sporting events more than any other facet of a school district. What we do, say, and how we act represents all that we are at Laingsburg Community Schools.
