Jenny Garcia

Hello! My name is Jenny Garcia and I am the Laingsburg Elementary School Counselor. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2015 with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After two years at home with my children, I continued my education at Grand Valley State University to earn my Master of Education in School Counseling in 2019.

As a school counselor for little ones, my main focus is meeting the needs of all students, regardless of where they are in their academic and social/emotional development. I firmly believe in an empathetic and non-judgmental approach to meeting student needs. I love empowering students to learn problem solving and critical thinking skills so they can effectively handle the day-to-day difficulties that may come their way.

I provide regular classroom lessons focused on social/emotional, academic, and career development for all students. I also provide services such as group counseling, lunch bunch, individual counseling, resources for families, etc. as needed. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns about your child.

Hi, my name is Kristina Bruggink. I am a dedicated social worker at Laingsburg Elementary with a passion for supporting children’s emotional and social well-being.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University, where I gained valuable experience through internships at Small Talk Children’s Advocacy Center and St. Vincent Catholic Charities.
