Erin Brawner
I am a licensed social worker, a mom of 3, and I serve as a School Counselor, primarily working at the ECEC Building. As a school counselor, I am dedicated to helping our littlest learners have a positive first school experience and get set up for a successful school career and success in life outside of school. This involves teaching students social and emotional skills such as friendship skills, managing emotions, and problem-solving. These skills help enable students to meet our school expectations (Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be a Team Player), which we refer to as The Wolfpack Way.
At the ECEC, we refer to students and staff collectively as our School Family, and we strive to help every student feel seen, heard, valued, and supported. Students are provided social-emotional learning lessons in the classroom through our CharacterStrong curriculum. If students need support in addition to the classroom supports, school counseling services can provide small group or individual support for a variety of social, emotional, and/or behavioral concerns.
At the ECEC, we believe that parents/families are our students’ first and most important teachers, and we strive to collaborate with families to facilitate a successful and joyful learning experience. I look forward to partnering with you in supporting your students’ education. It is an honor and privilege that I do not take lightly 🙂

Alyssa Klein
Hello! My name is Ms. Alyssa Klein and I grew up in DeWitt, MI, not too far from Laingsburg. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2021 with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. Following my graduation from MSU, I chose to continue my education at Grand Valley State University and am currently pursuing my Master of Education in School Counseling. I am thrilled to be joining the Wolfpack this year as a counseling intern and I look forward to getting to know the community!
